Earlier this summer, on the 7th of July, I boarded a Ryanair flight to Pescara Airport on the eastern coast of Italy. It was the first time I had ever flown on my own, and quite the adventure for me. The week I spent with my host family in Pescara was more than pleasant and the two weeks during which I and the other forty-odd visitors to Campo Italia toured much of the southern parts of Italy, including Naples, Sicily, the Apulia region and the ancient city of Matera were even more so.
In short, I wish to thank the Lions organisation as a whole, but especially the Ringwood & Fordingbridge club, for allowing me to go on this adventure. It was quite possibly the most singular event I have been a part of and I would do it again a thousand times over.
